July 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The controversial and messy custody battle for the 8 month old baby has become even more nasty for Mel Gibson as investigations have begun with him as the suspect of a domestic violence case. The Los Angeles Sheriff department revealed that the ‘Braveheart’ star is being investigated for the attack against the Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva. Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva have been locked in an ugly custody battle over the baby that has created more headlines than breakthroughs so far.

Oksana Grigorieva had earlier said that Mel Gibson had punched her on the face in January during January. Though the charges have been denied by the star’s representatives, the Sheriff’s office from Los Angeles has said that the actor is suspected for the attack on his girlfriend but the investigation is at a preliminary stage. Oksana Grigorieva had earlier issued a restraining order against Mel Gibson that prohibited him from coming close to the baby and her. The restraining order was however modified the very next day by the lawyers of Mel Gibson and they allowed him to contact the baby.

Oksana Grigorieva was also in the news recently for revealing that Mel Gibson had deprived her and their child of any money. She called him a ‘cruel’ person and said that she was living off loans. Mel Gibson’s representatives on the other hand brushed aside the allegations and said that she was provided for a house, a car, insurance, a nanny and also thousands of dollars. Oksana Grigorieva has refused to comment however on the recent investigation reports and kept mum.
