Mel Gibson-Oksana Grigorieva Battle Over Custody Turns Ugly

June 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In spite of efforts to keep it hush-hush the Mel Gibson-Oksana Grigorieva split has become one of the messiest scandals of recent years. The fight between the couple has been taken up by the lawyers and spokespersons of the split-couple. The latest allegations by Oksana Grigorieva have been refuted aggressively by the lawyer of the ‘Braveheart’ star who says that the claims are a result of ‘buyer’s remorse’ for Oksana Grigorieva over a custody agreement that she signed.
The couple split in April and have reportedly signed a secret agreement and launched a confidential court case. Oksana Grigorieva alleged that Mel Gibson had punched her face twice in January that knocked out her teeth and gave her a concussion. The lawyers have however denied the charges on behalf of the ‘What Women Want’ star. Earlier this week reports circulated that Oksana Grigorieva had gone to court with her lawyers and had a restraining order issued against Mel Gibson that prohibited him from coming close to her and her baby. Mel Gibson lawyers however got the restraining order modified and allowed Mel Gibson to contact the 7 month old baby.
Mel Gibson’s lawyer also claimed on Monday that Oksana Grigorieva had violated the custody agreement that she had signed. About her allegations that he did not pay her a single penny after the split, the lawyers said that he had paid her tens of thousands of dollars, a lavish home, car, health insurance and provided for a nanny. He also added that Mel Gibson will continue to generously provide for his daughter Lucia. Mel Gibson also has 7 children with his ex-wife Robyn.
