Mel Gibson Expresses Sympathy For Tiger Woods

Jan 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All is not lost for troubled golfer Tiger Woods as support is pouring in from various quarters. The latest personality to join the league of celebrities who have expressed their sympathy and support for the defamed sportsperson is none other than Hollywood star Mel Gibson. The 54 year old filmmaker has offered sympathy to the World No.1 golfer and had emphasized that the entire Tiger Woods scandal was completely blown out of proportion by the media.
In a recent interview, the movie-maker has said that he felt extremely sorry for the way the Tiger Woods saga unfolded. Moreover, Mel Gibson also appeared to be hugely upset with the media for the unprecedented attention that was being provided to the champion golfer’s private life when there are so many other pertinent world issues that need to be addressed.
At the same time, the veteran actor also had a word of advice for Tiger Woods. He implied that rather than shying out from the entire scenario, the troubled golfer should handle the situation as a man. Moreover, Mel Gibson also added that he believed that the ace golfer is just being used as a point of diversion by the media since the reports emerged claiming that Tiger Woods was involved in multiple extramarital affairs.
However, the support that the ‘Braveheart’ actor has expressed for the disgraced golfer does not come as a surprise as the actor was known to be involved in an extramarital affair with Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva. The actor filed for legal separation from his wife of 28 years in the month of April last year.
