Oct 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It came as a real shock to the Mel Gibson aficionados when the director of the upcoming movie “The Hangover 2″, Todd Philips said that the actor will not be a part of the upcoming project. The director said that he had been forced to drop the “Braveheart” actor from “The Hangover” sequel as the other actors of the movie objected to it. It seems that Mel Gibson’s chance to revive his career following all the controversies regarding his drunken driving arrest, racist rant audio tape, and his domestic violence controversy relating his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have reduced. Some media outlets are of the opinion that Zach Galifianakis played a major role in ousting Mel Gibson off the cast of “The Hangover 2″.
A gossip portal recently reported that in one of his interviews Zach Galifianakis said that he is presently in a deep protest with the movie he is working in and at the same time it is really “frustrating” for him. However, he also reportedly said that he is not the boss but all he can do is protest against the whole action. Previously the media sites reported that Mel Gibson would play the role of a tattoo artist of Bangkok. However, Todd Phillips said that making a movie is a “collaborative” effort and the entire cast and crew of “The Hangover 2″ did not support his decision of including Mel Gibson in the movie.
“The Hangover 2″ is scheduled to hit the theaters next year and it stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong. Liam Neeson will be playing the role of Bangkok tattoo artist, instead of Mel Gibson.
