mel Veracruz, Apr 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor-director Mel Gibson would donate the sets of his movie to a ‘future-museum’. The governor of Veracruz said that currently Mel Gibson is filming ‘How I Spent My Summer Vacation’ in the Ignacio Allende prison, in Veracruz, and when the movie is complete then the jail would be converted into a museum. Governor Fidel Herrera said that the Oscar winner had made several sets inside the prison, and because of that around 1500 prisoners had to be shifted out of the prison too. He also revealed that Gibson is doing what he did in the past too, when he donated some sets of his movie ‘Apocalypto’.

Earlier there was a big hue and cry in January when the relatives of the prison inmates came to know that Mel Gibson plans to shoot his new movie in a Mexican prison. Around 300 relatives of the prisoners had also protested outside the prison, fearing that their relatives who are locked up inside would be transferred somewhere else and then it would be very difficult to bring them food and to even meet them. And when the movie sets started being erected in the prison, then around 1500 protesting prisoners were also transferred out of the prison.
