Meghan McCain hits back at Beck
May 13th, 2011 - 8:43 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, May 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Glenn Beck has taken a swipe at Meghan McCain’s ad campaign against skin cancer. The PSA which also featured Brandy and Danielle Fishel is titled “Naked.” On his radio show on Wednesday, Beck mocked the shape of Megan (Meghan was shown naked from the shoulders upwards in the advert.)
Beck said, “May I just say if you want to talk about essential, luscious, delicious, yummy, just — just a delectable appetizer for the main course, it would have to be Meghan McCain’s naked commercial. Oh. My stomach, hang on. I might have eaten something bad.”
As expected, Megan was not impressed with those comments. Meghan has already indicated that she felt the need to do the ad campaign because her parents have suffered from skin cancer before. After those words from Beck, Meghan’s mother, Cindy, threw some jabs back at Beck on Twitter.
Cindy tweeted that she was happy that Beck was being fired from FOX. She said Beck was worse than a “rodeo clown.” She believes that Beck’s attitude is solely due to hatefulness.
The ad campaign is meant to educate the public that going out in the sun without a sunscreen can cause skin cancer.
