Aug 24 (IBNS) Megan Hauserman, star of VH1’s Megan Wants A Millionaire, has been shocked at the turn of events since last week.

Ryan Jenkins, the finalist on her show was wooing her, turned out to be a fugitive and was also found dead in a motel room in Canada. Police said that Jenkins took his own life.

“Megan is devastated. She got to know Ryan through her show, and she is shocked and saddened By the week’s events,” one of Megan’s close friend was quoted as saying By People.

Jenkins, 32, was a finalist on the VH1 show that attempted to pair the aspiring “trophy wife” with a millionaire.

Police allege he’s the man who brutally murdered Playboy model and his wife Jasmine Fiore, chopping off her fingers and pulling out her teeth, then stuffing her nude body in a suitcase left in a Southern California Dumpster. An international manhunt was underway for Jenkins, who may have slipped into his native Canada.

Even before Jenkins was charged, VH1 pulled the show off the air, and Hauserman can only follow developments with the rest of the world. “Right now Megan is taking comfort in her friends and keeping a close eye on news as this story unfolds,” the friend.

Jenkins, 32, was also the one who reported his wife missing.
