Megan Fox Turns Down Lara Croft Role

Apr 01 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Megan Fox is tired of people comparing her to Angelina Jolie. The 23 year old actress has been trying to overcome being compared to Angelina ever since soaring to stardom with her role in “Transformers” She feels that magazines make the comparison because they want to “put her in a box.”
Her desire is so strong to overcome the comparisons that she recently turned down what many would call the opportunity of a lifetime. She was offered the chance to play “Laura Croft” in the “Tomb Raider” movie series which originally starred Angelina Jolie.
“The offer has been on the table for Megan for a while but she’s reluctantly turned it down,” an insider reports. “She’s the logical choice to play Lara and she loves the character but the comparison with Angelina [Jolie] is too much.”
“I am a brunette with tattoos, I curse and I have made mention of sex before,” she told the press last year. “I joked about it which people find outrageous so they want to constantly compare that to her.”
Although she is a sex symbol to millions of men, Megan stressed that she is not at all promiscuous. “I can never have sex with someone that I don’t love, ever,” she told UK’s Harper’s Bazaar. “The idea makes me sick. I’ve never even come close to having a one-night stand.” She has been dating Brian Austin Green sporadically, and will be starring in the thriller “Passion Play” with Mickey Rourke.
