Megan Fox to star as Red Sonja in remake?

London, April 9 (ANI): ‘Transformers’ star Megan Fox is said to have been offered to play the role of Red Sonja in its remake by producer Robert Rodriguez.
Danish actress Brigitte Nielsen, 46, had starred in the 1985 original, which portrayed her as a teenager turned warrior from the Conan comic strip, opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger as Prince Kalidor.
The remake has been on the cards for a while and was set to star the producer’s former fiancée Rose McGowan until she accepted a different role in the remake of Conan.
Rodriguez, 41, recently admitted that the production had been beset by money problems.
“If I kept the project myself, we could’ve just made it, but it belonged to another company that had financing problems,” the Sun quoted him as saying.
“They had to wait until they made a couple of other movies first.
“They’re actually waiting until they make the Conan movie before they do that - to see how that works for them,” he added. (ANI)
