Megan Fox, who is hailed in Hollywood and all over the rest of the world as the next sexiest thing, right up close behind Angelina Jolie, has refused to step into the shows that seemed tailor made for her, and was, apparently, just the right way to carry on the legacy that Hollywood has forced upon her, that of Lara Croft, the character that gave us the sexiest avatar of Angelina Jolie. However, Megan Fox has refused the role that was offered to her, much to the disappointment of all the fans who had been hoping to see another seductive Lara Croft.

The role of Lara Croft was offered to Megan Fox when the producer of the film, Dan Lin, thought of making a sequel to the “Tomb Raider” series. However, he was not too eager to cast Angelina Jolie, the face of the series, for he felt that she had gone a long way in terms of age to be really suitable to the spunky, young character. On the other hand, he felt that Megan Fox would really be able to do justice to the role, with her sexiness and age both on her side.

Megan Fox, on the other hand, had enough explanations for her decision. She commented that she had refused the role to staunch the endless comparisons with Angelina Jolie, something, she felt, hindered her from creating her own identity in tinsel town. Sex appeal, tattoos and bold comments combined, she feels that she has already garnered enough attention as the next Angelina Jolie, but she would now like to put an end to it all.
