This animated comedy is going to hit the theaters in United States tomorrow and the trade analysts are predicting that it could turn out to be a smash hit. The film has the voices of some of the Hollywood behemoths like Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill and David Cross. Made with a budget of $160 million approximately, the film will be released in Imax and 3D format in the USA. It has been reported that the movie which comes from the stable of ace director Steven Spielberg will be shown in 3500 theaters in USA.

It will also be released in some Asian countries. The other countries will get the movie either by the end of this month or December. It can do good business in USA before the much awaited last installment of Harry Potter movie releases in December. The film was released in Russia earlier and did reasonably good business. The critics also gave it a positive review in general.

The director of the animated flick ‘Megamind,’ Tom McGrath is upbeat about the prospects of the film in USA and abroad. Brad Pitt lends voice to the character of the antagonist Metro Man in the film. Tina Fey’s voice is used for Roxanne’s character who is the girl friend of Metro Man. The film which has liberal dose of visual effect and an unusual spin in the story line may help it to hit the bull’s eye, experts believe.
