mega-python-vs-gatoroid_510Jan 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) SyFy network is known for making TV movies based on sci fi creatures and experiment born giants that love chewing humans like crazy. Some of their earlier offerings like ‘Dinocroc’ and ‘Sharktopus’ were quite enjoyable. However, their latest offering ‘Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid’ which was aired recently leaves a sour taste in the mouth. As is evident from the title of the movie it shows two gigantic creatures a huge python and dinosaur sized alligator locking horns and finishing the humans who come in their way. However, the CGI and visual effects cannot save the film and it is marred by poor acting and wafer thin plot. The reviewers have given it thumbs down. The inclusion of 1980s pop stars Tiffany and Debbie Gibson do not help matters much.

Interestingly enough the yesteryear singing sensations get engaged in a cat fight which brings some amusement to the viewers. Tiffany plays a park ranger and Debbie Gibson essays the role of an animal rights activist. Kathryn Joosten of the Desperate Housewives fame plays the role of a park ranger who eventually is swallowed by the CGI python in the film. The alligator gets huge in size because Tiffany feeds it with steroids with an aim to counter the effort of the activist who releases snakes in Everglades. The monstrous animals stomp down the streets of Orlando and attempt to kill each other and leave a trail of destruction around.

To be truthful ‘Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid’ does not inspire awe and fear among the fear. The plot of the movie gets repetitive after a time and the viewers yawn at the couches.
