McQueen had been jilted by lover
February 13th, 2010 - 4:02 pm ICT by ANIMelbourne, Feb 13 (ANI): Style icon Alexander McQueen was upset at being jilted by his lover weeks before his death, it emerged.
The British designer was found hanged at his home in Mayfair, central London, on Thursday.
An unpublished interview with the Australian edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine has been discovered which reveals details of his tortured romantic life, reports The Daily Telegraph.
McQueen talked abut his last relationship, and added that he had got his named tattooed on his arm.
“(He was) a bastard who went back to Australia and I was left looking at his name,” McQueen had said, pointing to the ink on his right arm.
The magazine’s editor Edwina McCann said he did not reveal his former boyfriend’s name.
He was unofficially married to his ex-partner George Forsyth in 2000 but the relationship ended a year later. (ANI)
