London, Oct 10 (IANS) Actor Ewan McGregor says he was left embarrassed after his father took his friends to watch his saucy movie “The Pillow Book”.

The Scottish actor plays the lover of a Japanese model in the 1996 hit, and was initially worried about his family viewing the adult scenes, reports

“I was worried about him seeing that film. I come from such a small, conservative wee (tiny) town in Scotland. My dad is a gym teacher,” McGregor told Esquire magazine.

“When he phoned me and said, ‘We’re going to see the film tonight son’, I just immediately had an image of me having sex with that old Japanese man. Then he said, ‘We’re taking the farmer and his wife, and the dentist and his wife’.

“I thought, ‘Oh my god, he’s got a bus party together to see me go and shag a Japanese man’. The next day he sent me a fax to say it was a beautiful film and that he was glad to see I’d inherited one of his major attributes,” he added.
