“McClure’s Pickles” Gain Attention After Being Featured On “The Best Thing I Ever Ate”

Feb 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All foodies who tune in to the Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate”, are aware of Ted Allen’s fascination with food. Ever since he stated on “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” that McClure’s Pickles are one of his favorites in the episode of February 5, people are widely searching the internet to know more about the mouth watering pickle.
The show, “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” first aired on 2008. It includes chefs who pick up their favorite dishes in different categories. Chefs like Ted Allen, Sunny Anderson, Bobby Flay, Duff Goldman, Giada De Laurentiis talk about their favorite dishes which immediately become popular amongst fans. “McClure’s Pickles” is no exception.
According to sources, the pickles that McClure’s make are yummy with a tinge of the garlic flavor. Brothers Bob and Joe McClure prepare pickles which is based on their old family recipe. It contains red chillies, garlic as well as attitude, the company say. The pickle company is family owned. The pickles are supposedly hand packed. Like wine, this probably gets better with time and gives a better taste say some of the pickle lovers.
According to the website of “McClure’s Pickles”, the pickle company was started in 2006 and used their grandmother Lala’s recipe. The company apparently started after years of making pickle in their Michigan kitchen. They learned the recipe from their grand father and parents. They make pickles outside Detroit, Michigan and in Brooklyn, New York. After the episode of “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” on Friday, there is surely going to be an increase in the craze for “McClure’s Pickles.”
