Maura Tierney has a new TV role in ‘The Whole Truth’

maura_tierney-pic1 Los Angeles, Jun 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The actress who successfully beat cancer is back. And she has landed a new role in the legal TV drama ‘The Whole Truth’. Maura Tierney, who was famous for her acting stint in the show ER, would soon be back on the TV screens in the form of her new legal drama show.

The legal drama show would air on ABC and Jerry Bruckheimer is producing it, and it would premiere in the fall itself. On the show she would portray the character of Kathryn Peale, who is a deputy bureau chief in the NY district attorney’s office.

Prior to this, she was also offered the chance to be a part of the NBC family show Parenthood, but the actress had to give it a miss because she was battling cancer at that point of time and wanted to focus on her family as well. She was eventually replaced by actress Lauren Graham on the show.

It ought to be mentioned that in July 2009 Maura had publicly revealed that she was suffering from breast cancer and also required surgery for it. As a result, she put her professional career on hold for it.
