She has replaced Joely Richardson as the female lead, who left the show in order to spend more time with her family.

The ABC show is Maura’s first return to television after her recovery from the breast surgery and cancer.

Maura will be seen in the role of Kathryn Peale, who is a Manhattan deputy bureau chief in the office of the district attorney. The legal drama will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who is also producing the CSI and Cold Case.

‘The Whole Truth’ will start airing this fall, on ABC and will be telecast on the 10 PM slot. Rob Morrow will be starring opposite Maura as Jimmy Brogan, a classmate from the Yale Law School. He is one of the New York’s rising criminal attorney stars.

Apart from Maura and Rob, the show also includes actors like Christine Adams (Home Again), Eamonn Walker (Oz), Anthony Ruivivar (Third Watch) and Sean Wing (Beautiful People).

In 2009, Maura Tierney was all set to star in the NBC drama ‘Parenthood’. However, the show got delayed as she was suffering from breast cancer. Later in September 2009, it was declared that Tierney was not going to act in the show as she was replaced by Lauren Graham.

We hope that the lady has defeated breast cancer completely and is ready to entertain us with full zeal and passion!
