Maura Tierney all set to play a new role in the legal drama ‘The Whole Truth’

maura_tierney-pic1 Los Angeles, Jun 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Maura Tierney who has battled breast cancer in her life, is all set to play Kathryn Paele in the new law drama ‘The Whole Truth’.

Maura is a former star of the hit series ER. She has been in remission with her battle with the cancer. Maura landed the role after the original star, Joely Richardson opted to spend more time with her children than star in the series. According to reports, Maura would be portraying the role of a deputy bureau chief in New York district attorney’s office.

The series, which will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, will showcase a different side of courtroom from the one with which the public is aware of. In the new legal drama – ‘The Whole Truth’, the defense and the prosecution would both talk about and also reveal their take on cases before the court.

Maura is married to Billy Morrisette, and the couple is parents to two children. She last year turned down an offer to star in a family drama called “Parenthood”. She wanted to focus on her health and her battle with breast cancer.

And now after successfully battling breast cancer, she would also appear in the show ‘Rescue Me’ as Kelly McPhee. This show is based on the life of firefighter Tommy Gavin.
