Jan 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Matt LeBlanc, who has always been popularly known as Joey, in “Friends”, will make his comeback in yet another comedy series, “Episode”, that was premiered on Sunday, January 9 on Showtime at 9:30 p.m. It will also start airing from January 10 on BBC 2 at 10:00 p.m. Fans of the witty star are getting all more excited, for they are anticipating to get more comic doses of Matt LeBlanc from this new show.
However, unlike most of his other comic shows where the star has been playing his signature character “Joey”, “Episodes” would portray Matt LeBlanc as himself. The story is about a British couple Sean Lincoln and Beverly Lincoln, who, after winning another BAFTA award in UK, heads towards United States, to recreate their popular British show, “Lyman’s Boys”, for the American Audiences. However, they are subjected to the unjustified demands and commercials protocols of Hollywood and against their desire, they have end up casting Matt LeBlanc in the lead role. That was perhaps the worst decision they took in their career, as the star not only spoils the essence of the show they intended to produce, but also the cordial relationship between the couple. “Episode” is all about a show within a show, and Matt Leblanc plays a big time spoil sport. It also portrays the star tantrums and darker sides of Hollywood, through Matt LeBlanc’s character, in a very satirical yet humorous way.
Matt LeBlanc said that he completely enjoyed being part of the show, that was “self-deprecating” and made fun at Hollywood. His character, in the show has no other work but to add on to the pre-existing problems of the British couple. Although, he projected himself from a very funny light, he also confirmed, that he is quite opposite in his real life. However, he also admitted that some of the characters in the show are the “inflated versions” of some people he knows in the tinsel Town.
