Washington, Feb 28 (ANI): After scooping three Oscars and two British Academy film awards, Matt Damon starrer “The Bourne Ultimatum has won the British public’s vote for film of the year.
Organized by the Richard Attenborough Film Awards, the prize, which was voted for online between Jan. 31 and Feb. 15, is the kudofest’s seventh and final prize.
The six key Attenborough awards, which are selected by Britains regional film journalists, were declared Jan. 31 and were conquered by Joe Wright’s “Atonement,” which won four prizes.
For the film of the year award, British public were invited to cast their votes on an industry-selected list of 30 films, reports Variety.
Other movies in the voting contest included “No Country for Old Men,” “La Vie en Rose,” “The Lives of Others” and “Atonement.”
The Attenboroughs are organized by Cinema Days, the U.K. trade events body for regional staff and freelance journalists working in all the media. (ANI)
