Matt Damon to play Liberace’s gay lover in new flick
September 21st, 2009 - 3:08 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sept 21 (ANI): Matt Damon is all set to play Scott Thorson, Liberace’s gay lover, in a new movie.
Damon, famous for his action roles in the Bourne series, has agreed to take up the demanding role.
The Sun quoted helmer Steven Soderbergh as saying: “Matt accepted the challenge.”
Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas will play Librace.
The film is based on the life of American showman Liberace, who allegedly had a five-year relationship with his bodyguard boyfriend Thorson, before he filed a palimony suit against the entertainer in 1982. (ANI)
