‘Masterclass’ by IIFW every Thursday at 10 PM only on Fox History and Entertainment Channel

May 06, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): “Masterclass’ is an IIFW (Indian Independent Filmmakers Worldwide) initiative in association with Fox History and Entertainment channel. A thirteen part series hosted by Sudhir Mishra, “Masterclass’ will take an in-depth look at some of the greatest masters in contemporary cinema and learn all about their craft, inspiration and vision.
A unique show, Masterclass explores the vision, sensibilities as well as technique of great film makers of Indian Cinema, shedding light on both the process and the person, helping us understand what makes each of these filmmakers and their films, unique.
Unlike at any other film based show or event where a show can get waylaid to add irrelevant matter, the focus of Masterclass is clearly on the craft of filmmaking.
The show is hosted by the renowned filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, who interviews Master filmmakers like Shekhar Kapur, Danny Boyle, Mira Nair, Shyam Benegal, Mahesh Bhatt, Govind Nihalani, Aparna Sen, Ramesh Sippy, Prakash Jha and others of similar achievements and knowledge.
IIFW (Indian Independent Filmmakers Worldwide), nonprofit associations started by practicing filmmakers, with the objectives of promoting, supporting and nurturing Indian independent films and create a global network of independent filmmakers, providing one-on-one infrastructural solutions and support to its members, organize workshops and seminars etc. Some of their prominent members include Sudhir Mishra, Ketan Mehta, Rahul Dholakia, Anurag Kashyap, Sanjay Chhel, Krishna Shah, Rajan Khosa and many others.
IIFW’s activities and workshops include Actor’s Workshop conducted by Vipin Sharma, Script writing workshop conducted by Krishna Shah, Storytelling Workshop, Legal seminar etc.
