Mary Tyler Moore And Betty White To Reunite In ‘Hot In Cleveland’ Season 2 Premiere

Nov 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Great news for ‘Hot In Cleveland’ fans as Betty White is all set to reunite with her former co-star Mary Tyler Moore in the upcoming season of the comedy series. It was announced on Tuesday that Mary Tyler Moore will be seen in a gust appearance on the premiere of the second season that will air on January 19, 2011.
Mary Tyler Moore and Betty White starred in the ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ show together that ended 33 years ago and this is the first time that the two TV veterans will be seen together on the small screen. Reports suggest that the premiere will be shot in the same CBS studio where the show featuring the two stars was taped three decades ago. ‘Hot In Cleveland’ started its production for the second season one day ago and this season will have twice as many episodes as the first, according to the reports.
The ‘Mary Tyler Moore Show’ starred Tyler Moore as an assistant TV news producer and Betty White as the host of a homemaking show on the same network. In the first season of ‘Hot In Cleveland’, Betty White starred as the feisty caretaker of the house shared by the trio of Los Angeles women (Melanie, Joy and Victoria). Reports indicate that Tyler Moore’s guest appearance on the show will be a crucial one for Betty White’s character, Elka. Elka was arrested in the finale of the first season for the possession of valuable jewels and goods that were fenced by her deceased criminal husband. Season 1 of ‘Hot In Cleveland’ will also be available on DVD from January 11, 2011.
