Mary Tyler Moore And Betty White To Be Seen Together Again

November 3, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): ‘Hot in Cleveland’ is all set to premiere for its second season on January 9th next year announced U.S. network TV Land. Mary Tyler Moore is destined to appear as a guest in the show along with Betty White, the golden girl.

The two actresses go a long time back and had thrilled their fans by appearing together in ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’ back in 1973. The show had been on air for a period of four years then. Sue Ann Nivens had been the name of the character that White played in the seventies.

While the character that Moore will get to play in the upcoming US network show has not been announced yet, White is likely to continue playing Elka, the caretaker of the house situated in Los Angeles. Elka had been shown getting arrested at the end of Season One while the show had left its fans wondering as it had ended in a cliffhanger.

CBC News discloses that the episode is likely to be shot at the CBS studios in the same location that the duo had worked together before almost four decades ago.

A twenty episode for the second season of ‘Hot in Cleveland’ has been okayed after the show turned out to be a success during its maiden season. The debut season of the show consisted of ten episodes only. The success of ‘Hot in Cleveland’ has also been due to the resurgence of Betty White reported the New York Daily News.

‘Hot in Cleveland’ also has the stars Jane Leeves, Valerie Bertinelli and Wendie Malick featuring in it.
