Mary J. Blige says she was not fighting with ‘punched’ hubby
December 25th, 2009 - 12:34 pm ICT by ANINew York, December 25 (ANI): Mary J. Blige has set the record straight after reports of her punching her husband Kendu Isaacs at her recent record release party emerged.
Papers claimed that the American singer left her better half bleeding as she punched him in the face after he purportedly tried to charm a waitress at club M2 Ultralounge.
But a spokeswoman for the hip-hop diva has revealed that the star was simply trying to stop a fight between Isaacs and her brother.
“Mary was not fighting with her husband,” the New York Daily News quoted spokeswoman Karynne Tencer as saying.
“Her husband and her brother got into an altercation that turned into a fight. Mary went to break up the fight,” she added. (ANI)
