Isley Brothers’ – Marvin Isley has died. He was just 56 years old. The cause of his death was not known, but it was learnt that he passed away in Chicago. There is no word about the funeral and the memorial services as yet.

Maybe the cause of death was diabetes, as that was one of the reasons why both of his legs had to be amputated. He also had to retire from the band in 1997, on account of this.

Marvin Isley became a member of the ‘Isley Brothers’ in 1973, when they were already a big success. Even though the band was commercially successful when he joined it, yet he managed to infuse a rhythm into it, that became the trademark of the band, and his musical legacy would live on forever.

However later he bid adieu for a short while to form the ‘Isley-Jasper-Isley’ but returned back to the folds of the Isley Brothers in 1991. He was also a Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee in 1992, with the other Isley Brothers as well.

Chronic diabetes cut short his flourishing musical career. He also had to retire from the band in 1997, because of numerous complications. Later he lost both of his legs to amputation because of his chronic diabetes.
