best50Nov. 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Marv Albert, the widely-known TNT’s NBA announcer was visiting Los Angeles for the Thursday night game between the Lakers and the Chicago Bulls, when he was also a guest at the Jimmy Kimmel show. Along with him, the musical star for that particular episode was 50 Cent. As soon as Marv arrived for the interview, for reasons unknown, the crew of 50 Cent started messing up with him and there were a lot of fists shown and obscenities uttered. At fist, Marv thought it was all some kind of gag being played on him, but the misconception was cleared when the brawl turned ugly.

Apparently, the crew was unaware of Marv’s identity, and they thought that he was there to hijack the rapper’s interview. However, even after an on-duty security guard shouted, “IT’s Marv Albert’, 50 Cents’ entourage continued with their sabotaging. There were shouts of, “Don’t put your hands on me”, but whether or not they were uttered by Marv remains unknown. The brawl soon got violent and Marv was lucky to escape it without any harm. After he came out of the fist-fight he said, “Did you see that? I thought they were kidding, then I realized they weren’t”.

At the interview later, no one talked about the ugly incident, but Jimmy Kimeel did say that, “I’ve been Marv’s fan for a long time, I appreciate great broadcasters who are distinctive”. He also pointed out that Marv had come at his request, whether he was apologetic or not, is yet to be determined. Jimmy went on to say that Marv did not have to make himself “a personality”, as his job was to “call games” and nothing else. Whether or not he was referring to the brawl earlier, is your own point of view.
