Martin Scorsese to be honoured at Golden Globes next year

- London, November 14 (ANI): Hollywood director Martin Scorsese will be honored with the Cecil B DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the Golden Globes next year.
‘The Departed’ actress Vera Farmiga announced the development at a press conference and said that the award was being given for the helmer’s “outstanding contribution to the entertainment field”.
“He has the power to rouse a crowd and bring them along on his holy mission,” the BBC News quoted her as saying.
She added: “He considers it holy work, and cinema is his shrine. And he instils in the actors, in the crew, and everybody around him just what a powerful tool it is.”
Scorsese has received won Golden Globes for best director for his films ‘The Departed’ and ‘Gangs of New York’ in the past. (ANI)
