Martin Scorcese, Robert DeNiro to reunite after 15 yrs
December 14th, 2010 - 6:43 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Dec 14 (ANI): Veteran film director Martin Scorcese is set to team up with Robert DeNiro for the first time since 1995 film ‘Casino’.
According to Digital Spy, the former confirmed the two would film ‘The Irishman’ together while speaking at a BAFTA ceremony.
The movie is based on the novel ‘I Heard You Pain Houses’ about the true-life story of union boss turned mobster Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran, reports Fox News.
The duo started working together in 1973 with film ‘Mean Streets’ and went on to become one of Hollywood’s most successful and prolific director/actor combinations, churning out ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘New York, New York’, ‘Raging Bull’ apart from others.
The filming of the new flick is scheduled to begin in 2011. (ANI)
