London, July 2 (AN): TV documentary ‘Living With Michael Jackson’, which sparked concern about the late King of Pop’s relationships with children, is set to be re-screened.
The programme adversely affected the ‘Thriller’ hitmakers’ reputation when it was first shown in 2003.
Interviewer Martin Bashir spent six months following Jackson for the show, in which he defended allowing young visitors to use his bed.
According to reports, ITV1 will broadcast the programme once again on July 16.
The documentary is said to have been edited down from 90 minutes to an hour.
A segment featuring an interview in which Gavin Arvizo, then aged 12, spoke about his friendship with Jackson will be left out.
Claims by the boy led to molestation charges against the star, though he was acquitted.
“There is an enormous interest about Michael Jackson following his untimely death,” the Sun quoted ITV as saying.
“We thought it was appropriate to give the public another chance to see highlights from this landmark film,” the channel added.
Bashir currently works in America. (ANI)
