Nov. 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Family Guy Presents Seth & Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show, had the deaf actress Marlee Matlin taking the stage for the viewers. For people who do not know yet, the “Family Guy” is an American sitcom that has been created by Seth MacFarlane. The [popular] show is known for using ‘cutaway gags’ and for making the parodies of different aspects of the American culture.

The most recent episode of the show had Alex Borstein, making fun of Marlee’s voice (in which she speaks) and also singing Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”. In between, the show script had Marlee Matlin come out on the stage and act like she was pretty angry. This was followed by her yelling and then walking off the stage. The best part [also the funniest] came when she snatched away a tablecloth (from an occupied table) while walking off the stage. The whole Alex-making-fun-of-Matlin issue could have been quite scandalous if Matlin herself was not present. Instead, the part brought out some well-deserved laughs. Matlin can even be seen saying (in a clip on YouTube), that she loves the show and will be using her original voice in the following appearances.

The show also had MacFarlane performing with Alex, who together did a number of parodies from the ‘Wizard Of Oz’ and also ‘The Sound Of Music’. Marlee Matlin, the deaf actress, is also, one of the very few stars who have won Oscars for their debut roles. As Marlee was signing off the show, Billy Joel went on to sing ‘Just The Way You Are’.
