July 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mark Wahlberg is the latest star to be honored with a star in the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The 39-year old star was honored on Thursday and he was present with his family on the special occasion. The actor said that it was unbelievable that he was getting a star. He revealed that he felt it was a practical joke when he first heard the news that he was getting a star.

Comedian Will Farell took the opportunity to crack a few jokes about his co star from the upcoming movie ‘The Other Guys’ during the honoring of Mark Wahlberg. He said that he first became a fan of the star when he started watching his fitness videos and then went on to say that he loved his ‘Bourne’ movies which stars Matt Damon and not Mark Wahlberg. Mark Wahlberg attended the event with all his four young children.

Mark Wahlberg has been seen in a number of avatars since he burst into the scene as a rapper in the 80s. After a short stint with the New Kids On The Block, he quit to form Marky Mark and then Funky Bunch. He has also done a bit of underwear modeling for Calvin Klein that kept him in the limelight. As an actor he was nominated for the Oscars for his performance in ‘The Departed’ which also starred Leonardo Di Caprio, Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon. Mark Wahlberg is presently the producer of the successful TV drama ‘Entourage’. The lead character of Vince is said to be based on Mark Wahlberg himself.
