July 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Samuel L. Jackson along with Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr introduced the initial cast of the upcoming movie ‘The Avengers’ at Comic-Con International on Saturday. It was a big media event and the viewers were really excited to see several of their favorite hunky stars together on the same stage. The role of the incredible hulk has finally gone to actor Mark Ruffalo, known for his roles in films like Shutter Island and Collateral. The role of the green monster was played onscreen previously by actors Edward Norton and Eric Bana. Mark Ruffalo is very excited at getting the role and he was applauded by Robert Downey Jr. The other actors who have made it to the cast of The Avengers include Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Clark Gregg.

Jeremy Renner the actor who rose to fame for his performance in the Oscar winning movie T’he Hurt Locker’ will also be playing a role in the upcoming movie. The movie will be released in 2012, as it has been reported. When Samuel Jackson appeared on stage to present the stars of the film the excitement of the viewers increased by leaps and bounds. The Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr was in his usual form and remarked that it is going to be a movie made on a grandiose scale.

‘The Avengers’ is going to be directed by Joss Whedon. He came on stage after the actors were presented. The director thanked the viewers and said that without their heartiest wishes he will not be able to make the movie properly.
