New York, May 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) CNBC have announced that “”Squawk on the Street” anchor Mark Haines died on Tuesday. The cause of death was not announced in the release but the network said the 65-year-old died in his home.

Tributes have been pouring in for Haines who is a founding anchor of the “Squawk Box.” Haines began anchoring for the morning edition of the show in 2005 and he has been with the show ever since. However his association with CNBC goes further than that. Haines worked with the network for 22 years. He is praised for asking the relevant questions at the right time. His contribution to the network has been commend worthy.

Hedge fund manager Eric Jackson is impressed with Haines presentation of business. He said that, “He (Haines) was an authentic voice in business media. He resonated with so many people because he would speak out, and with opinion. Too often the media lets the corporate PR army and highly trained CEOs get their points across without question. He wouldn’t let that happen.”

CNBC have announced that the family has not come up with the funeral arrangements for Haines. His wife, Cindy, son Matt and daughter Meredith survived him.
