The ill fated actress died of a drug overdose in the year 1962. She was famous for her many romantic liaisons apart from her histrionic abilities. She was supposed to have paid a sum of 59,000 pounds which was considered to be astronomical in those days.

The upper class neighborhood of Brentwood houses this particular property which is designed according to the Spanish colonial style. It encompasses a huge area measuring 23,000 square feet in all. The house was built in the year 1929 according to the estate agents who go by the name of David Offer Fine Homes.

The house consists of four luxurious bedrooms and three equally lavish bathrooms and is said to be the house where the ‘Some Like It Hot’ actress had succumbed to an overdose of sleeping pills.
