marie osmond Mar 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The eighteen year old son of Marie Osmond, Michael Bryan, also known as Michael Blosil, was laid to rest Monday in Provo, Utah. The service was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints there, and was attended by around 450 people. It was presided over by the Latter Day Saints President Thomas S. Monson, and he also gave the closing remarks. Donny Osmond opened the funeral with an invocation, and then family members shared their memories of Michael. Steven Craig, Michael’s brother and a child from Marie Osmond’s first marriage, sang a song he had written for his grandfather after his death two years prior. Marie and Donny Osmond also sang a hymn, with 5 of their siblings. As Donny Osmond gave the last prayer recital, he could barely contain his tears.

Michael’s seven year old sister, Abigail, also spoke of her sadness at losing her brother. She said that he had always made her laugh and she will miss the games that they played. Michael was remembered by everyone as a funny person, a gifted athlete, musician, and peacemaker, and was always telling others how important it is to give. “It’s overwhelming how much Michael was a part of a lot of people’s lives and how he brings people together, even now,” said Bryan’s uncle, Jimmy Osmond. “He was always a peacemaker. He was a wonderful boy.”

Michale was one of five children that were adopted by Marie Osmond. His biological mother was in attendance as well, and Marie thanked her for the gift that she had given 18 years ago, “I’m proud of my son and I honor his birth mother who’s here today who gave me the greatest gift.”
