The “Paper Roses” fame Marie Osmond and her brother Donny Osmond has recently hogged limelight but for all the wrong reasons. The singer and her brother has been reportedly sued by producer Chip Lightman for unjust enrichment, fraud, breach of contract and defamation. However, the Osmond siblings are tight lipped about the whole matter.

Chip Lightman reportedly told a reputed media source that Marie Osmond and her brother Donny Osmond asked for his help to cheat their agents of William Morris Agency while they were bargaining for their casino contracts. However, the producer of their Las Vegas variety show refused to cheat the agents and as a result he was fired from his post. The producer on the other hand, said that Donny Osmond’s salary is not enough for meeting his “lavish lifestyle” of exotic cars, his private jets and his posh hotel suites which are not his own achievements. However, Chip Lightman said that the credit for his exotic lifestyle goes to the people who worked under him day in and out to “support” his career.

Marie Osmond and Donny Osmond’s attorney Howard King has not commented anything about the whole allegations. However, in one of his interviews to a reputed media source he said that he is completely disappointed with Chip Lightman as he could not imagine that the producer would take such a drastic step even after receiving a hefty amount. The attorney says that the producer did not create the show and he did not even finance the show. The attorney even commented that Chip Lightman never hired the talented people who are dedicated to their work.
