Mariah! Is something wrong?

Mariah Carey Aug 17 (IBNS) Singer Mariah Carey’s rescheduling of upcoming appearances has fuelled speculations that something is “wrong” with her.

Carey, 40, all set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Aug. 25, would perform on Today Aug. 28, and also tape an episode of VH1’s Storytellers.

Singer’s publicist Cindi Berger assures: These dates have been postponed and not cancelled. Record release dates change all the time. It’s nothing unusual and it doesn’t signal anything. There are a lot of moving parts to Mariah’s professional life … She’s making sure the record is how she wants it to be and it’s no big deal.

The singer is completing her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, the release of which has been pushed to Sept. 29, it was learnt.

Carey’s official website says: Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, and we have shifted all of our TV and promo appearances to coincide with the new release date of September 29th. We can’t wait for the fans to hear the new album!!

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She made her recording debut in 1990 under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, and became the first recording artist to have her first five singles top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
