Mariah Carey Sings With Her Mother In “Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To You”

mariahDec 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American pop/R&B singer-songwriter Mariah Carey has her hands full of activities these days. The mother-to-be singer on Sunday performed in “Christmas in Washington” concert, which was graced by President Barack Obama and his family. Last night Mariah Carey was hosting an ABC show “Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To You” where she performed with her mother and enthralled the crowd with their wonderful performances.

“The Emancipation of Mimi” singer’s performance with her mother Patricia Carey was taped at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. This was her first time on stage performance with her mother and the duo seemed to be enjoying their performance to its fullest. Mariah Carey and Patricia Carey sang “O Come All Ye Faithful” in their own sweet way in one hour long special show. The mother-to-be Maria Carey seemed excited while performing on the same stage with her mother. She asked the audience to applause for her mother. The singer, then said that they are going to sing a song from her new album “Merry Christmas II You”.

Before singing the song, Mariah Carey said that the song is very close to both of them and she hopes the audience like it. Patricia Carey took the lead of the song and her daughter sang the back-up. The “Merry Christmas” singer sang several other classics from her previous albums along with melodious singles from his new album as well. She also sang a single with Randy Jackson, “American Idol” judge. The show turned out to be a total entertaining one as the singer kept the audience riveted to their seats with her spectacular performances. The singer changed her costumes several times during her performances. At first she wore a black coat and then later she was seen with a red dress.
