Mariah Carey making a giant luxury nursery
February 24th, 2011 - 11:33 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Feb 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mariah Carey is reportedly planning to turn a large portion of her compound into a nursery for her yet-to-be-born twins.
The singer is believed to be carrying a boy and a girl. The Now Magazine reports that Carey wants a huge luxurious nursery for the babies.
The magazine quoted a source that said that, “Mariah wanted 18-carat gold trim with ivory walls, soft furnishings and walk-in wardrobes full of Petit Tresor designer clothes. There’s a top-of-the-range sound system and they’ll each have diamond-encrusted iPods and a flatscreen TV that comes down from the ceiling.”
The source further told the magazine that Carey and her designer Kenneth Bordewick have taken charge of the decoration of the nursery. You can’t blame Carey for being this careful on her children.
It is estimated that Carey might be spending up to a million dollars for the creation of the nursery.
The 41-year-old has been struggling for years to be a mother and she is quite happy that it is about to become reality. She is married to actor, Nick Cannon, who is 11 years her younger.
Nick and Carey had earlier decided to keep the details of the pregnancy to themselves.
