Mariah Carey left waiting for screening of her new movie
May 18th, 2009 - 4:28 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, May 18 (ANI): Pop diva Mariah Carey had to wait for the screening of her new movie ‘Precious’ at the Cannes Film Festival in France on May 15, after film director Martin Scorsese took longer than expected with the presentation of his forthcoming film.
Carey, 39, who had a small role as a social worker in the upcoming flick, had to wait patiently for the film’s promotional slot, which was pushed back after Scorsese took time in introducing his new film ‘The Red Shoes’.
She later took to the stage alongside her fellow stars Lenny Kravitz, Paula Patton, Gabby Sidbe, and director Lee Daniels to introduce the movie.
“Je suis fatiguee, (I’m very tired.) I’ve had too much champagne, so I’m not able to give the speech I spent three weeks preparing,” the Daily Star quoted Daniels as telling the assembled crowd.
“I say this movie was made with love, bubble gum, popsicle sticks, everyone on this stage, and grace,” he added. (ANI)
