Mariah Carey felt ugly while growing up

The “Hero” singer, whose mother is an American and her father was an African-American of Venezuelan descent claims that she never fitted in school because of her heritage, leaving her very insecure about the way she looks, reports contactmusic.com.
“I am very insecure about my looks and I always have been because of being mixed race. It is not so weird now but as a child I felt very out of place and didn’t feel pretty,” Mariah said.
