Feb 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Renowned singer Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon are enjoying the bliss of would-be parenthood these days. The “Drumline” actor announced back in December that his wife is carrying twins. However, recently a reputed celebrity and lifestyle magazine announced the news that the gorgeous couple is expecting a boy and a girl. Even Mariah Carey confirmed the news to the media in one of her interviews.

The “Merry Christmas II You” singer told a reputed media source that even before the couple announced that the couple would be the proud parents of twins, she was trying to keep everything “gender-neutral”. The singer said that she never intended to impose an identity on her children even before they are born. Mariah Carey also added that there was some fan contests in a reputed micro-blogging site where there were rumors that the singer would give birth to two boys and two girls but nobody could guess that she would actually give birth to a girl and a boy.

Congratulatory messages have been pouring in after the couple announced the happy news. One of Mariah Carey’s friends told a gossip portal that the news is going to be a dream come true for the singer and her husband. Along with the news of a baby girl and a boy, the celebrity and lifestyle magazine also reported that the couple is expecting their twin babies sometime in April. In her interview, Mariah Carey also mentioned that it has been a long journey of parenthood for her but in the end, she is happy with everything. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon exchanged vows on April 30, 2008.
