Maria Shriver says that she felt confused after her split with Arnold
September 13th, 2011 - 8:11 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattHollywood, Sept 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Maria Shriver has admitted that she felt “down and confused” following her split from estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger. The celebrity couple announced their split earlier in the year. The announcement came out of the blue but later events revealed why the couple split.
After taking part in the charity bike racing for Best Buddies on Saturday in Carmel, Calif., Shriver thanked the crowd for their support. The 55-year-old said that, “I appreciate your support, particularly this year, for sticking with me.”
Shriver further told the crowd that she has had support from various people and recalled a letter that an incapacitated friend of her sent her shortly after her split.
She told the crowd that, “When I was going through my own challenges this year, feeling down and confused, I got an email from him. He wrote me a note saying, ‘You’re my best friend Maria and you will never be left out.’”
It emerged after Shriver and Arnie announced their split that the former governor of California had secretly fathered a child with the long time house help of the family. Arnie reportedly lived with the mother and the child in the same house with his family without anyone’s knowledge.
