Maria Sharapova and Sasha Vujajic Got Engaged!

October 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Maria Sharapova and Sasha Vujajic planned to take their relationship to the next level by getting engaged. The net has gone viral since the time, the news broke out in the gossip websites, but finally both Sharapova and Vujacic’s agent, Max Eisenbud confirmed the news.
Sharapova has won quite a few major Grand Slams and now ranks at No 18 in the WTA. She was first seen with Los Angeles Lakers’ player Vujacic about a year ago. Sharapova at the age of 23 decide to get hitched when 26-year-old Sasha popped the question to Maria at his home on Tuesday at California’s Manhattan Beach.
While Vujacic had a phenomenal season at the NBA 2010 helping Lakers win the title by scoring on two major free throws at the NBA finals, Maria has failed to make much of an impact at the tennis circuit this season. She has failed to qualify at most major Grand Slams and the ones where she did qualify, she failed to secure a win.
Most still believe that Sharapova has a lot to offer in the tennis world and this engagement at the age of 23 is not being eyed very favorably by many. On Thursday, Vujacic said they decide to make it official on the night of their first anniversary of their first meeting. Both the players are quite elated and happy about it, no dates for wedding has been set by them yet or at least it’s not made public yet.
