Nepal, June 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The feisty actress from Nepal’s most well known political family Manisha Koirala who scorched the silver screen in the 1990s has tied the knot finally in her homeland after years of speculation by the media and fans.

She got married to Samrat Dahal, a Nepalese businessman. The wedding ceremony was held in Gokarna Forest Resort adjacent to Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. Strangely not many guests from political parties were invited. Madhav Kumar, the PM and Ram Baran Yadav, the President were invited. The wedding was kept low key and not many colleagues of the actress from Bollywood were invited. The actors like Suman Ranganathan, her co star in her first Hindi film, Vivek Mushran and Govinda’s wife Sunitha were among those from Bollywood at her marriage.

The guests were served authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine at the venue. Manisha Koirala looked ethereal in her wedding dress and wore matching ornaments. The couple looked jubilant and she was all smiles. The wedding ritual will be completed on Sunday. The wedding reception will be held at Hotel Saltee Crown Plaza. Three thousand guests have been invited at the reception. The groom is actually six years junior to the actress.

The family of the actress is happy with the marriage. Manisha Koirala was one of the top actresses in Bollywood in the 1990s and gave many blockbusters. However, after 2000 her career took a backseat and now she is involved more in production than in acting.

She has also acted in regional films with noted film directors and won accolades from the critics and the viewers alike.
