June 4th, 2010 - 2:15 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire
June 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):”When I’d taken Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bhau Thi, Star Plus wasn’t a big channel too,” remarked Smriti Iraani during the press conference of Maniben.com, her maiden show on SAB TV. A year later, SAB has climbed the GRP ladder, but Maniben.com is all set to wind up without the impact that Smriti had on Star Plus.
This Contiloe Films show is set go off air from 24 June. Optimystix’s Papad Pol Shahbuddin starring Swapnil Joshi is set to launch on 28 June and will occupy the 8.00 pm time slot.
Papad Pol.. producer Vipul Shah says, “I don’t know about the time slot, but our show is airing from 28 June. We’ll be meeting the channel officials today to decide on the time slot.”
A source from Maniben.com though confirmed that their show was going off air. Interestingly, actor Suresh Menon had just entered Maniben.com as Quick Gum. “Our last telecast is on 24 June. Quick Gum will be seen during this month,” said the source.
SAB business head Anooj Kapoor remained unavailable for comment
