New York, Jan 6 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s long-time manager Frank Dileo is planning to set the record straight about the music legend in a tell-all book.
He will detail his life with the late pop singer, dealings with his family and estate, and the making of the controversial posthumous album ‘Michael’ in his new memoir.
Dileo worked with the King of Pop from 1984 until the end of the decade, and reunited with him shortly before Jackson’s death in 2009.”I’m not holding back anything. The truth has to be told. There’s so much misinformation out there about everything that I’m going to set the record straight once and for all,” he told the New York Daily News.
Besides being quite involved with Jackson’s life, Dileo also said that he was very involved with his death - he said that he was at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on June 25, 2009 when the singer was pronounced dead.
He also said that he was the one who alerted Sony and Jackson’s estate about many of the recordings that were included on the controversial posthumous album ‘Michael’.
And DiLeo hopes the memoir will help put to rest rumours about the way the album came about.
“I’m tired of people slandering my name when it comes to this particular album,” he said.
Many are speculating about which publishing house will be lucky enough to get Dileo’s book deal. (ANI)
