gilligansisland Los Angeles, Mar 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The classic TV series of the 1960’s – Gilligan Island is all set to be made in to a full-length feature film. The legendary TV series was about a group of 7 people who embark on a 3-hours long boat tour, but instead get stranded on an island. The series had a TV run of 3 years from 1964-1967.

There is a lot of speculation over who will portray these iconic characters in the movie. Rumors are abuzz that Michael Cera might play the title character of Gilligan, whereas the sexy singer Beyonce may play the part of Ginger. However none of these rumors have been confirmed as yet, and it remains to be seen who will ultimately etch these characters on the big screen. It is also not known if the theme song of ‘Gillian Island’ will be incorporated into the movie or not. Die-hard fans of the iconic TV series say that the movie would be incomplete without the “just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip…” song.
