Maggie Gyllenhaal Shares Her Broadway Experience

Feb 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Maggie Gyllenhaal is among those actresses who have made their marks in Hollywood in an young age and are not afraid to experiment with other genres of entertainment and art. The ‘Crazy Heart’ actress is excited about her Broadway act in Three Sisters. She however said in a recent interview that it was not exactly a cakewalk for her and she was somewhat intimidated about delivering her best when she came to know some of her co workers in showbiz will be watching her performance on stage! The talented actress talked about her Broadway experience with a reputed media entity recently. The drama composed by stalwart Anton Chekhov has been produced at Broadway by the Classic Stage Company.
Maggie Gyllenhaal said about the opening night “Opening nights are always sort of funny because everyone you love and know is always there, but that doesn’t necessarily make it easier”. She went on to say that she finds it difficult to emote her feeling on stage when she knows people close to her are watching her performance. She finds it easier to perform in a place full of strangers the actress said. However, the only relief she has about this play is that her husband Peter Sarsgaard is not in the audience. He is also on stage and that factor comforts her to an extent.
The husband of the actress agrees with heron the woes of performing in front of friends and relatives. Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal however is in love with the character of Masha that she plays in the famous play and said she can relate to the character very well.
